William Reid Dick (1879 – 1961) He was born in Gladgow and studied a the Glasgow School of Art until 1907, when he moved to the City and Guilds School, Kennington. He became a well-known sculptor, whose work is in museums and public places all over the UK. He served as King’s Sculptor in Ordinary for Scotland (1938-1952). He lived mainly in London.
