Hamilton, Vereker Monteith (1856-1931?) by Scholes, Robert

Vereker Monteith Hamilton (1856 – 1931) He was the son of Christian and Maria Hamilton, and his mother died shortly after his birth. He specialized in military paintings, mainly of the Afghan and Napoleonic wars, and he exhibited at the Royal Academy on a number of occassions.
