Biographies

Francis Howard (1874 – 1954) Mainly a portrait painter, he was born in England and educated at Roman Catholic Schools there and in Germany and Switzerland. He also studied in Paris. He wrote about art frequently in periodicals. We always try to locate images of the specific works discussed in the journal. As you might expect, this is often impossible. Failing that, we seek out similar or typical work by the artist. We are still searching for images of this artist’s work.
