Eleanor Fortescue-Brickdale (1871 – 1945) She painted mainly in the Pre-Raphaelite mode, working in oil, watercolor, and stained glass. After being educated at home, she studied at the Crystal Palace School of Art under Herbert Bone, and, after several attempts, was admitted to the Royal Academy Schools. She also worked with John Ruskin.
