Hankey, William Lee (1869-1952) by Scholes, Robert

William Lee Hankey (1869 – 1952) Born in Chester he was a painter and printmaker. He studied at Chester College of Art , at the Royal College of Art and then in Paris. He lived in France for a time and produced a body of work of French villages and harbours for which he is well known.
