Harold Brownsword (1885 – )

A sculptor, he was born in Staffordshire and educated there at Hanley. He studied at the Hanley School of Art and at the Royal College of Art in London from 1908 to 1913. He taught sculpture at the Regent Street Polytechnic and was Headmaster there from 1938 to 1950. Anthony Ludovici ranked him among the most promising sculptors at a show reviewed in The New Age in August 1913 . (NA 13:16:464)
