Georges Buysse (1864 – 1916)

Belgian painter of landscapes and lithographer. Travelled to Italy with fellow artists J. Delvin and d’E Claus in the 1880s. Influenced by the French impressionists, his palette lightened after 1890. He was a founder member of the Life and Light Club.
