Andrea del Castagno (1421 – 1457) A follower of and , Andrea di Bartolodi Bargilla, known as Andrea del Castagno, was a major Florentine painter who also worked in Venice. Very little is known about his early life. Some of his best work may be seen at the Castagno Museum in Florence. Masaccio Donatello
