Evelyn Davy Cheston (1875 – 1929) She was born at Ranmoor, Sheffield and studied at the Royal Female School of Art and at the Slade. She married her fellow artist Charles Sidney Cheston in 1904. She became a member of the New English Art Club in 1908. Mainly a landscape painter, she lived and worked in the west of England, with a home in Musbury near Axminster, Devonshire. After her death her husband wrote produced a memorial volume, , which was published in 1931 and can still be found in second-hand book catalogues.
