Jean Auguste Dampt (1853 – 1946) A Burgundian, he was born in Venaray-les-Laumes and died in Dijon, but his work was appreciated in Paris and London as well. He was a sculptor who handled human and animal forms equally well. He taught at the Académie Julian in Paris. We would like to find more information about his training and life.
