Elinor Mary Darwin (1871-1954) She was born in Limerick (family name Monsell) and studied art at the Slade School, earning the Slade Scholarship in 1896. She was active as an illustrator as well as a portrait painter. She lived at Downe in Kent. We would like to learn more about her and locate images of her work. We have learned from Wikipedia that she married Bernard Darwin, the golf writer grandson of the British naturalist Charles Darwin in 1906, and that she illustrated some of her husband’s books for children, such as” and .
