Wilfrid Gabriel De Glehn (1870 – 1951) Born at Sydenham, London. Studied at South Kensington School of Art and the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Paris. He exhibited in Rome in 1894 and in Paris in 1895, becoming an Associate of the Society of French Artists. First showed at the Royal Academy in London in 1896. Became a member of the New English Art Club in 1900. In 1904 he married the painter Jane Emmet, whom he had met in America. They were friendly with , often painting with him in various places in Europe. Sargent
