Georges Desvallières (1861 – 1950) He studied with Gustave Moreau in Paris and became friendly with the Nabis painter and theoretician, Maurice Denis. With and , in 1919, he founded l’Atelier d’Art Sacré [workshop for sacred art] at the Place Furstenberg in Paris, where the art students were advised by churchmen on liturgical matters.
