Bentinck Cavendish Doyle (1885 – 1928) He was a sea and flower painter, who studied at the Slade School and in Paris under Carolus Duran. He lived in London and in Sussex. In 1918 Ezra Pound said this of a painting of his called : . (A certain Bentinck C. Doyle was a Captain in the Royal Navy during the period 1808-1814. There may be a family connection.)
