Thomas Cantrell Dugdale (1880 – 1952) He was born in Blackburn, Lancashire and studied art at the Manchester School of Art, the Royal College of Art, The City and Guild School in Kennington, and at the Académie Julian in Paris. He began showing his work with the Royal Academy in 1901. During the Great War he served in Egypt, the Dardanelles, the Balkans, Palestine, and Syria. He also married the painter, , in 1916. Amy K.
