Frederick L. G. Etchells (1886 – 1973) He was born in Newcastle upon Tyne, and studied art at the Royal College of Art and in Paris (1911-1913). In 1912 he exhibited in the second Post-Impressionist Exhibition in London and in 1914 with the Post-Impressionist and Futurist Exhibition. He did not sign the Vorticist Manifesto, but he had four drawings in the first issue of and was considered to be a Vorticist. He was a founding member of the London Group in 1913. After the war he worked mainly as an architect and painted very little. Blast
