Georg Gelbke (1882 – 1947) He was born in Saxony and began studying at the Academy of Fine Arts in Dresden in 1901, working with Richard Mueller, , and . He was based in Dresden throughout his career, but spent time travelling and, in particular sketching and painting on the Baltic coast.
