Giovannini, Agostino (1881-1958) by Scholes, Robert

Agostino Giovannini (1881 – 1958) He was born in Collodi and died in Florence. After beginning his studies at the school of arts and crafts at Livorno, he transferred to Firenze to study sculpture, moving on from there to Paris, joining his friend and fellow artist, Libero Andreotti. After that he returned to Italy, where he is considered a major figure in the period between the two world wars. Many of his works were lost during World War II. We have been unable to find images of his work and would be grateful for assistance with this. A book about him, with his name in the title, has been published but is out of print and very hard to find.
