James Levin Henry (1855 – 1939) Henry was active in exhibiting between 1877 and 1938, showing at the Royal Academy, Royal Institute of Painters in Water Colours, Royal Institute of Oil Painters, Grosvenor Gallery, Goupil Gallery, Fine Art Society, Dudley Gallery, New English Art Club and the Society of British Artists, as well as at the Royal Society of Artists in Birmingham, Glasgow Institute of the Fine Arts, Royal Hibernian Academy, Royal Scottish Academy, Leicester Gallery, Walker Art Gallery in Liverpool and Manchester City Art Gallery. He also exhibited with the International Society of Sculptors, Painters and Gravers. He was elected a member of the New English Art Club in 1887, and he was also a member of the Society of 25 Artists.
