Hitchens, Alfred (1861-) by Scholes, Robert

Alfred Hitchens (1861 – ) He studied at South Kensington and in Paris and Rome. He was a landscape artist mainly. Today, his son, Ivon, is much better known as a painter than his father. We always try to locate images of the specific works discussed in the journal. As you might expect, this is often impossible. In the present case, we are grateful to Richard Stott, who has sent us the only image we have of Alfred Hitchens’s work.
