Japp, Darsie Napier (1883-1973)

He was born at Liverpool, the son of Russell Japp, and took evening classes at the Lambeth School of Art under Philip Connard, and at the Slade School from 1908 to 1909. He exhibited with the New English Art Club, becoming a member in 1919. For a time, he had a studio in Chelsea. After 1926 he spent most of his life abroad, in France, Spain, and Portugal, where he died, at Caixas.
