King, Jessie Marion (1875-1949)

She was born in New Kilpatrick, Dunbartonshire, and studied at Glasgow University and the Glasgow School of Art. As her career developed she began to specialize in illustration, and before she was done she had illustrated more than a hundred books. She also worked in batik and other media.
