Kramer, Jacob (1892-1962) by Scholes, Robert

Jacob Kramer (1892 – 1962) He was born in the Ukraine, where his father was a painter. The family moved to Leeds in 1900, where he first studied art. He later attended the Slade School, thanks to support by the Education Aid Society, and he began showing his work with the New English Art Club in 1914, becoming associated with the Vorticists.
