Giovanni (“Dosso Dossi”) Luteri (1485 – 1542) Born near Mantua, he spent most of his career in Ferrara, where he collaborated with the poet Ariosto in staging entertainments for the Ducal court. His paintings range from traditional religious subjects to mythology and fantasy.
