Fortunino Matania (1881 – 1963) He was born in Naples, where his father was an artist. After studying with his father he went to Milan at the age of 14 to work on Ilustrazione Italiana, moving north in 1901 to work on ;aise in Paris and in London. After returning to Italy for military service he came back to London and began working for . He was an illustrator, but he also exhibited his paintings and drawings. In 1914 he bacame a war artist and made many sketches at the front. He lived in London for many years after the war. Illustration Franç The Graphic The Sphere
