Julia B. Matthews ( – 1948) A self-taught painter in water colors, who exhibited in London and Paris from 1893 on. She was married to a person named Ivimey. A painting by her of someone in the role of Carmen displeased Ezra pound in April 1918 . Beyond that we know nothing about her. (NA 22.24:472)
