John Bernard Munns (1869 – 1942) He was Birmingham, where his father H. T. Munns, was also a painter. He studied at the Birmingham School of Art and Graphic School, and exhibited his work in London and Paris. He painted portraits of people like the music conductor Thomas Beecham, spending most of his life near Birmingham. He was not above painting a pedigreed dog.
