Alfred William Parsons (1847 – 1920) He was born in Beckington, Somerset and became well known as a flower painter and engraver. He worked as a clerk before turning to painting. As flower painter, he also became interested in garden design. He became President of the Society of Painters in Water Colour in 1905. He also illustrated books. His home for many years was in Worcestershire.
