Pitt, Douglas Fox (1864-1922) by Scholes, Robert

Douglas Fox Pitt (1864 – 1922) He was born in London, the fifth son of General Fox Pitt-Rivers, and studied at the Bartlett School of Architecture and at the Slade School. He was a friend of Walter Sickert and painted with him at Dieppe. He travelled widely, and illustrated Count Sternberg’s in 1905-06. He lived din Brighton from 1911 to 1918 and may have worked with there, but spent his last years in Thorpe, near Chertsey, Surrey. Barbarians of Morocco Sickert
