Doris “Dod” Shaw Proctor (1892 – 1972) She was born in London and studied art at Newlyn in Cornwall under Stanhope Forbes, and in Paris at the Atelier Colorossi. She married the artist in 1912, and worked with him in Burma in 1920 decorating a palace in Rangoon. They returned and opened an art school in Newlyn where Dod lived for many years. She was a friend of another Cornwall artist, Laura Knight. Ernest Proctor
