Reid, John Robertson (1851-1926) by Scholes, Robert

John Robertson Reid (1851 – 1926) He was born in Edinburgh and studied at the Royal Scottish Academy under Chalmers and McTaggert. He painted mainly landscapes and coastal scenes, living first in Sussex and later in Cornwall, working regularly around Polperro. He finished his life in London, where his work was frequently exhibited.
