Eva Sawyer (1912 – ) All we know about her is that in 1919 Ezra Pound, writing as B. H. Dias, said of a portrait by her: “the usual colour photo with rather unusual care” –which from him constitutes praise. (NA 24.19:311) We always try to locate images of the specific works discussed in the journal. As you might expect, this is often impossible. Failing that, we seek out similar or typical work by the artist. We should like to locate images of this artist’s work.
