Claude Allin Shepperson (1867 – 1921) He was born in Beckenham in Kent and began his studies in Law, but switched to art in 1891 and studied in Paris and London. He studied etching under Frank Short and later from 1906. Beginning his career as a landscape painter, he later became an illustrator of books and magazines, working on , for example.
