Taylor, Walter (1860-1943) by Scholes, Robert

Walter Taylor (1860 – 1943) He was born in Leeds, Yorkshire. He trained as an architect and later took up painting, specializing in watercolor paintings of buildings and landscapes. He worked extensively in Italy and France, someimes with Walter Sickert. He was a founding member of the London Group. He should not be confused with another Walter Taylor, who was a flower painter and weaver, connected to the Arts and Crafts movement.
