Tweed, John (1869-1933) by Scholes, Robert

John Tweed (1869 – 1933) He was born in Glasgow and studied at the Glasgow Art School, the Lambeth School of Art, and the Royal Academy Schools. In 1893 he visited Paris and studied at the EĢcole des Beaux Arts there, and became friendly with Rodin. He lived and worked mainly in London, and was respected as a sculptor of portraits and statues.
