Edward Arthur Walton (1860 – 1922) He was born in Renfrewshire, Scotland, and studied art in Glasgow and in Düsseldorf. He was a member of the –a school of Scottish painters with French leanings. In 1894 Walton moved to London for a decade before returning to Scotland and settling at Edinburgh. In some of his portraits, the influence of is strongly felt. Glasgow Boys Whistler
