Madeline Rachel (Holmes) Wells () She was born in India and studied at the Westminster and London Schools of Art. At the London School she met Robert Douglas Wells, whom she married. She exhibited her work from 1909 to 1940, mostly at the Royal Society but also at the Society of Women Artistsand other London galleries.
