Margaret Lindsay Williams (1888 – 1960) She was born in Cardiff, Wales and studied at the Pelham Street School of Painting in Kensington under A. S. Cope and at the Royal Academy Schools, where she won several prizes, including a travelling scholarship, which allowed her to extend her studies to the Continent. She was known mainly as a portrait painter. She lived in Glamorganshire and in London. A biography of her, , by Angela Gaffney was published in Wales in 1999. Wedded to her Work
