- Introduction to Rhythm and The Blue Review, by Carey Snyder
This little magazine ran for only three months in 1913. A successor to Rhythm, it was edited by John Middleton Murry, with Katherine Mansfield as Associate Editor. The list of contributors is interesting, including D. H. Lawrence, Gilbert Cannan, Rupert Brooke, and a number of Georgian poets, as well as Murry and Mansfield. Though it carries some cartoons and drawings, it never manages to match the vigorous modern visual art that makes its predecessor especially interesting. The first number includes a poem by the model for Buck Mulligan in Ulysses, Oliver Gogarty.
