Others 1915 — 1919

Under the editorship of Alfred Kreymborg, this little magazine published the work of Maxwell Bodenheim, Mina Loy, Marianne Moore, Ezra Pound, Carl Sandburg, Wallace Stevens, and William Carlos Williams, playing an important role in freeing American poetry from traditional models. Based in New York, with circulation in the low hundreds, Others was more radical than Chicago’s Poetry and had a lasting impact on American verse forms.

The Modernist Journals Project would like to thank the McFarlin Library at The University of Tulsa for allowing us to reproduce their original copies of Others in our digital edition.

Others. A Magazine of the New Verse. Vol. 1, No. 2, Kreymborg, Alfred (editor)
New York: Alfred Kreymborg, 1915-07 / 1919-07
